Recruit Secure is collaborating with a large successful, and established Healthcare organization that is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and energetic Regional Clinical Nurse (RN) for direct hire.

The focus of this position is to oversee 5 Skilled Nursing Homes in the metro NYC area (Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, and Westchester) with the goal of enhancing the quality of clinical services while meeting corporate compliance.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in staff leadership, quality improvement programs, strategic planning, and clinical program development and implementation. The Regional RN should have a solid background in mentoring, training, and coaching the senior nursing staff and experience in implementing policy and protocol changes.  This position reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.

Some Responsibilities:

  • The Regional Clinical RN will schedule regular and random visits to each facility to assess clinical services with patients and staff
  • Oversees the operational efficiency and quality of clinical services for each facility.
  • Oversight, training, and monitoring of best practices and Standards of Care outcomes, safety, and risk management
  • Ensures compliance with all State, Federal, and corporate regulations, policies, and procedures; monitors DOH Survey preparedness
  • Evaluate and implement plans for improvement if necessary.
  • Supports Directors of Nursing for the region. Assists in hiring, training and development of Directors of Nurses and ADONs.
  • Monitor Quality Indicators

Requirements/Skills:

  • Current NY RN license
  • BS or BA in Nursing - strongly preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience in long-term care and operations
  • 4- 5 years’ experience as a Director of Nursing in a Skilled Nursing Facility
  • Regional experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledgeable with Infection Prevention protocols.  Certification - a big plus.
  •  Strong interpersonal skills; dealing effectively with diverse skill sets and personalities.
  • A problem solver!
  • Highly organized with a proven ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and manage several projects at one time.
  • Travel required.  A candidate can live anywhere in this region.
