Recruit Secure, LLC is collaborating with a large (230 ++ bed) Skilled Nursing Home located in the Brooklyn, NY area that is seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Educator and Infection Control Specialist for direct hire.   In this dual role,  the RN Specialist will be responsible for planning and implementing educational programs for the Nursing staff along with directing the Orientation program for newly hired nursing staff.  Additionally, the RN Specialist will oversee and coordinate the Infection Prevention and Control program and supervise the general application of the infection control guidelines within the facility.  The successful candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in Staff Development, proven, and in-depth experience with Infection Control policies, guidelines and reporting, and some Supervisory experience in Skilled Nursing Homes.  The company is very stable and successful and there are opportunities for continued professional growth. A competitive salary, full benefits package, 401k, Employee Recognition programs, and other perks are offered.

Some Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • BSN degree preferred but not mandatory
  • Current NY- RN License – a must
  • Certifications - A BIG plus, e.g., - CDC certifications, Train-the-Trainer (but not mandatory)
  • Experience (at least 1-2 years) working in a supervisory role in a Skilled Nursing Home - a must
  • 1+ years’ experience working with Infection Control policies, procedures and reporting
  • In-depth understanding of Infectious protocols and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to plan, develop, direct, and coordinate educational and on-the-job training programs
  • Knowledgeable with State and Federal regulations and compliance guidelines
  • Develop, maintain, and revise patient care policies as needed
  • Strong problem-resolution skills
