Recruit Secure is partnering with a beautiful Assisted Living Program in the Fishkill, NY area to identify an experienced Director of Resident Care (DRC). This leadership role supports the Administrator and Case Manager in overseeing daily clinical and operational functions in full compliance with New York State Department of Health (DOH) regulations and the community’s policies and procedures.

The Director of Resident Care plays a vital role in promoting resident engagement, supporting activities of daily living (ADLs), and fostering a warm, safe, and secure environment that enhances overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Administrator and Case Manager with daily operations of the Assisted Living Program

• Ensure compliance with NYS DOH regulations and internal policies

• Promote resident participation in activities and ADLs

• Maintain a friendly, safe, and secure living environment

• Participate in and support DOH surveys and regulatory inspections

• Oversee clinical care standards and documentation

• Develop, mentor, and lead collaborative care teams

• Support quality assurance, problem resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Active New York State RN License (required)

• BSN degree preferred

• Prior experience as an Assistant Director of Patient Services (ADPS) or Director of Resident Care in an Assisted Living Program (required)

• Strong knowledge of Home Health and Assisted Living regulations

• Experience with ALP/LCSHA billing and reimbursement processes

• In-depth knowledge of State, Federal, and DOH compliance guidelines

• Hands-on experience participating in DOH surveys (required)

• Proven ability to build and lead collaborative teams

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills

• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
