Recruit Secure is collaborating with a highly successful and stable Healthcare company that owns many Skilled Nursing Facilities – mostly (but not all) within the 5 Boroughs of NY that is seeking an experienced, professional Regional Director of Admissions to join their team. The Regional Director will be responsible to manage, and mentor the Directors of Admissions in each of these facilities.as well as the admissions process for incoming and prospective residents and to manage census levels for the facility. The successful candidate will have had experience managing a busy Admissions department within a Nursing Home and have a good understanding of the admissions process including intake policies and procedures, assessments and Medicare/Medicaid and Managed Care reimbursement processes. Additionally, The Regional Admissions Director will be hiring and building collaborative teams where needed. This position reports directly to the VP of Marketing and Admissions. Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the admissions process within each facility runs efficiently and is a positive experience for residents, families, and supporting staff.
  • Ensure each facility is meeting short-term and long-term census goals
  • Works toward the successful achievement of the mission of the facility
  • Participates in the ongoing process of Quality Improvement in order to improve upon the service, standards, and processes of the facility.
  • Responsible for all required daily, weekly, monthly census and activity reports of the Region
  • Ensure regulatory compliance for the departments

Requirements:

  • BS degree or equivalent work experience in healthcare or Skilled Nursing Homes
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience within the Admissions process for Skilled Nursing Facilities.
  • At least 2 years in a Leadership or Senior Supervisory role
  • Experience verifying financial assets, and insurance coverage, i.e., Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance eligibility.  Experience with EMS systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Personable, outgoing, and enjoys building teams.
