Description

Recruit Secure is collaborating with a stable and successful for-profit Healthcare company that is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director for a Home and Community Based (HCBS) Children’s Waiver Learning Center for direct hireThe HCBS Children’s Waiver Director will be responsible for the implementation, leadership, and oversight of the program as well as the supervision of staff and administrative personnel.  The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare and in particular home-based services in support of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The goal of this position is to provide the coordination of quality health services (medical and behavioral health) and appropriate community and social services to provide children with the best possible outcomes.  This position can be based in the Bronx, NY or the Crown Heights area of Brooklyn.

The salary for this position is dependent on experience and qualifications.

Some Responsibilities:

  • Oversee HCBS- Children’s Waiver program implementation and monitor Quality
  • Supervision of all staff including DSPs and administrative staff
  • Develop strategies to optimize the impact of the program and growing client base
  • Generate reports on program success and shortfalls
  • Identify prospective client families and steward their integration into the agency
  • Communicate with families and service providers on a quarterly basis.
  • Monitor regulatory compliance

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a leadership role in an organization specializing in HCBS
  • Comprehensive understanding of HCBS structure, applications, and policies
  • Previous experience working with Children with disabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Special Education/Child Development (Master’s preferred but not mandatory).
