Recruit Secure is collaborating with a large (250-bed), beautiful Skilled Nursing Facility located in Hempstead, NY, that is looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for direct hire to their team. The ADON will be responsible for maintaining quality of care throughout the facility. He or she will also manage, train, and support the nursing services staff and oversee the Wound Care RN and wound Care program. . Additionally, the ADON will also focus on Risk Management Incidents and Accident investigations and reports. The ideal candidate for this position must have previous experience within Skilled Nursing Home environments, demonstrated nursing leadership, a strong ability to work with and develop teams, and an in-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry.  The company is very successful and stable.  There are numerous opportunities for professional growth.  A competitive salary, excellent benefits, 401K, employee recognition programs, and other perks are offered.

Requirements:

  • BRN degree
  • Active NY -  RN license
  • Experience (at least 2-3 years) working as a Supervisor, Assistant Director of Nursing in a Skilled Nursing Home.
  • Knowledgeable with State and Federal regulations and compliance guidelines
  • Familiar with Accident and Incident reporting
  • Knowledge of wound care practices and protocols
  • Able to participate and assist in the DOH Survey process.
  • Experience developing and fostering collaborative teams
  • Active participation in QAPI meetings
  • Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills
  • Develop, maintain, and revise patient care policies as needed
  • Strong problem-resolution skills
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance
