Description

We are collaborating with a very stable and established Skilled Nursing Home that is seeking an experienced and professional Regional Director of Nursing (for direct-hire) to be a part of their leadership team. The Regional Director will support six Skilled Nursing Homes within Brooklyn, Far Rockaway and Hempstead, NY. The successful candidate will have prior experience as a Director of Nursing in Skilled Nursing Homes. The Regional Director of Nursing should have demonstrated success in staff leadership and development; quality care improvement programs, strategic planning, and clinical program development and implementation. The Regional Director of Nursing should have a solid understanding of clinical operations in Skilled Nursing Homes.

Responsibilities:

  • The Regional Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall health and wellness of the patient population
  • Manages the nursing clinical operations and oversees the quality of clinical services for each facility.
  • Oversight and monitoring of best practices and Standards of Care outcomes, safety, and risk management
  • Ensures compliance with all State, Federal, and corporate regulations, policies and procedures
  • Supports the Directors (DON) and ADONs for the region. Assists in hiring, training, and development
  • Assist with budgeting and monitoring of the ongoing financial health of the facilities.
  • Monitor Survey preparedness.
  • Monitor Quality Indicators and assist with QAPI plans.

Requirements/Skills:

  • Current NY RN license
  • 4 - 5 years of experience as a DON within Skilled Nursing Homes
  • Regional experience preferred.
  • Direct management or supervisory experience is required. Prior experience with training and establishing care plans.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to mentor and deal effectively with diverse cultures, skill sets and personalities.
  • Highly organized with a proven ability to prioritize workloads, and manage several projects at one time.
  • Ability to Travel to sites (within a 8-20 mile radius of each other)
