Recruit Secure is collaborating with a large (7K + employees), established, and successful Home Healthcare company based in Brooklyn, NY that is looking for a professional and dynamic Senior HR Director with expertise in Employee and Labor Relations for direct hire
.  The Senior HR Director will support a multi-site and culturally diverse workforce and act as a strategic partner to the Senior management team. The purpose of this position is to provide guidance on legal issues related to hiring and employment policies, programs, and initiatives.   The successful candidate will have experience in the healthcare field (home healthcare a big plus), several years in a management role, and a strong background providing guidance and training on legal and hiring issues. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.  Salary, full benefits, and a bonus plan are provided along with many other perks.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal and local Department of Health standards and policies 
  • Manage and advise on all labor relationship activities, i.e., risk assessments, internal and external complaint investigations, sexual harassment, EEOC, unfair treatment, immigration issues, etc.
  • Provide preventive and proactive legal advice and solutions
  • Work with outside Counsel(s). Prepare investigation summaries, position statements, and documentation.
  • Provide counseling, mentoring, and training to Managers and HR staff
  • Keep abreast of all federal, state, and local regulations that affect Employment, Hiring policies
  • Act as strategic partner to Senior Management on employment best practices policies that affect employee performance.
  • Assist and advise on relationships with service providers, staffing, and contingency providers.

 

Requirements and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, or a related field.
  • SHRM, SCP certifications - is a plus
  • Knowledge of Healthcare concepts, practices, and procedures a must.  Home Healthcare knowledge is a big plus!
  • Competency in all areas of Human Resource Management and Leadership, including Recruitment, Employee Relations, Consultation, Ethical Practice; Global & Cultural Awareness, and Relationship Management.
  • At least 3-4 years in a progressive management/leadership role.
