Recruit Secure is collaborating with a very large (280-bed), 5-star rated Skilled Nursing Home in Astoria, Queens, NY, that is seeking for direct hire a Certified RDA Dietitian for a Clinical Nutrition Manager position. The Clinical Nutrition Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily food service operations, ensuring that the residents receive nutritious and top-quality meals. The successful candidate must be RDA certified, have experience in Skilled Nursing homes, have supervisory experience hiring and mentoring Nutritionists, and have deep knowledge of Therapeutic Diets and State and Federal DOH rules and regulations. Responsibilities:

• Hire, Supervise, and Mentor Staff Dietitians and Food Service Supervisors
• Participate in all DOH and other agency surveys (inspections)
• Assist in developing safety standards for the Food Services Department.
• Monitor food service personnel to ensure that they are following established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies.
• Ensure that all food services personnel follow established departmental policies and procedures, including appropriate dress codes.

Requirements:

• Must have Skilled Nursing Home experience (2-3 years preferred) – a must
• Must have an RDN Certificate
• Must have Food Service supervisory/management experience (at least 1 year) ...CDM certificate is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong Knowledge of large-scale and Therapeutic food preparation
• Knowledge of SigmaCare EMR
• Gerimenu software preferred
