Recruit Secure is collaborating with a large (180 beds), 4-star rated Skilled Nursing Home in Astoria, Queens, NY that is seeking a highly motivated Registered Dietitian Manager for direct hire. The Dietitian will be responsible for providing nutritional care for residents. The successful candidate will be a certified RD and have at least 2 years of experience working in a Skilled Nursing Home, with experience assessing, evaluating, and monitoring the effectiveness of dietary care plans with the goal of providing high-quality care. Additionally, the RD will manage other Registered Dietitians and have great communication skills to work effectively with the Medical and interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families.  This position reports to the Director of Food and Nutrition Services.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in Skilled Nursing Homes or LTC facilities
• Must be a Registered Dietitian.
• Knowledgeable of State and Federal DOH rules and regulations for Skilled Nursing Homes
• Expertise in performing Nutritional Assessments;
• Expertise in creating and modifying Nutritional Care Plans
• Familiar with MDS, EMR software for Clinical Documentation
• Experience with Gerimenu software
• Excellent communication skills
