Recruit Secure is collaborating with a large (300+ beds) and highly rated Skilled Nursing Home in the Queens, NY that is seeking an experienced, dynamic and caring ADON with good experiences with Infection Control and Wound Care  The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)will be responsible for the day-to-day nursing activities and maintaining the quality of care throughout the entire facility. Additionally, the ADON will oversee the management, assessment and documentation of infections  and wound care patients within the facility and ensure that all policies and surveillance programs meet all Federal. State and Municipal regulatory compliance standards.

The successful candidate will have supervisory experience in Skilled Nursing Homes, in-depth knowledge and training of infection control protocols, and have great communication skills to interact with physicians, families and the nursing staff. The Infectious Control RN will also be expected to provide IC training to the nursing staff. This position reports directly to the Director of Nursing.

Requirements:

  • BRN degree preferred but not mandatory
  • Current NY- RN License – a must
  • Certification - APIC – CIC OR CDC certification preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience (at least 2 -3 years) working as a Supervisor, Assistant Director of Nursing in a Skilled Nursing Home is a must
  • 1+ years experience working with Infection Control policies, procedures
  • Experience assessing and treating wound care patients.
  • In-depth understanding of Infectious protocols and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to plan, develop, direct, and coordinate educational and on-the-job training programs
  • Knowledgeable of State and Federal regulations and compliance guidelines
  • Experience developing and fostering collaborative teams
  • Develop, maintain, and revise patient care policies as needed
  • Strong problem resolution skills
