Recruit Secure is collaborating with an established, successful healthcare company seeking an experienced, professional Regional Director of Admissions to join its team. The Regional Director will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Admissions staff and processes for six (6) Skilled Nursing homes located in Brooklyn, Queens, and Nassau County areas. The goal of this position is to ensure high census levels for each facility. The successful candidate will have had experience managing a busy Admissions department and staff within a Nursing Home and have a good understanding of the admissions process, including intake policies and procedures, assessments, and Medicare/Medicaid and Managed Care reimbursement processes. Responsibilities:
- Manage the admissions process, making any necessary changes to policies, procedures and/or standards of operations
- Assist each facility in meeting short-term and long-term census goals
- Works toward the successful achievement of the mission of the facility and company
- Manage marketing efforts
- Participates in the ongoing process of Quality Improvement in order to improve upon the service, standards, and processes of each facility.
- Responsible for all required daily, weekly, monthly admissions, census and activity reports
Requirements:
- Must be able to drive to Brooklyn, Queens, and Nassau County in order to visit the 6 Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs)
- BS degree or equivalent work experience in healthcare or SNF marketing
- Must have at least 2 years of experience within the Healthcare and Admissions process for Skilled Nursing Facilities.
- Responsible for reviewing all clinicals and approving suitable cases for admission.
- Expertise in reading PRIs.
- Experience verifying financial assets, insurance coverage, i.e. Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance eligibility, and confidential medical information
- Supervisory experience in managing Admissions Coordinators
- Ability to form and keep relationships with Discharge Planners, Social Workers in hospitals, Assisted Living Facilities, Doctor groups, etc.
