Job Description:
Recruit Secure is collaborating with a school network to hire a dedicated Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) Specialist for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a full-time, school-year position (Monday–Friday, 7:50 AM – 3:50 PM) offered as a 1099 independent contractor role with guaranteed full-day pay.

We are a mission-driven, national leader in special education support, providing a content-rich curriculum with a strong focus on character education to charter schools.

Openings are available across multiple grade levels:

  • Kindergarten: Self-contained classroom of kindergarten students
  • Elementary School: Grades 3–4 (STEM and Humanities)

The ICT Specialist will play a critical role in creating a structured, inclusive, and high-achieving classroom environment where all students—especially those with IEPs—can thrive. This position combines strong instructional practice with compliance, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.

 

Position Overview:
The ICT Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in an inclusive classroom through co-teaching and targeted support. This role includes providing Specially Designed Instruction (SDI), managing IEP compliance, and ensuring measurable student progress.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Co-teach alongside a general education teacher in an inclusive classroom setting
  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons aligned with grade-level standards and IEP goals
  • Provide Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) tailored to individual student needs
  • Monitor, track, and report student progress toward IEP goals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in SESIS (or similar systems)
  • Serve as case manager for assigned ICT students, including:
    • IEP progress reports
    • Present Levels of Performance (PLOPs)
    • Teacher reports and compliance documentation
  • Facilitate IEP meetings with the Committee on Special Education (CSE)
  • Use data and backward planning to set measurable, ambitious goals
  • Implement effective classroom and behavior management strategies
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues, families, and school leadership
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • New York State certification in Students with Disabilities (required)
  • Experience in urban school settings preferred (elementary and/or middle school)
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, compliance, and instructional strategies
  • Experience with SESIS or similar systems preferred
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Spanish language skills are a plus
