Description

Recruit Secure, LLC is assisting our client in seeking an experienced and energetic Senior Accountant for direct hire. Our client owns and operates several for-profit, long-term care facilities, i.e., Skilled Nursing Homes in Texas.

The successful candidate will have at least 3-5 years of progressive experience with Accounting and Financial processes and have a solid knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, and financial analysis. Experience within healthcare industry and knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid payments and applicable regulations a must. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting and will involve collaborating with various departments and geographies to ensure accurate financial reporting and assuring compliance with financial institutions. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Executive Director.  This position is on-site and based in Monsey, NY. (Some) PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide analytical accounting support and assist in the resolution of accounting problems.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and reviews
  • Work with remote Skilled Nursing facilities to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  •  Ensure financial compliance with rules and regulations, including timely and accurate reporting to regulatory authorities
  • Act as a liaison with the company’s financial institutions
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and cash-flow projections.
  • Compiling operational financial reports, including accounts receivable management
  • Perform other related duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2-5+years of finance and accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting systems, budgeting and payroll
  • Must have strong financial analytical skills and desire to work through solutions
  • Healthcare industry experience is a must; skilled nursing home experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
