Recruit Secure is collaborating with a healthcare company in Philadelphia, PA that is looking for a Physical Therapist for direct hire. The Physical Therapist will be working in their facilities to plan, organize, and direct Physical Therapy Services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations. They will need to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times. Benefits are offered and salary is based on experience. Job Duties:

  • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs physical therapy, as well as its programs and activities, in compliance with all rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
  • Meets with the administration, medical and nursing staff, as well as other related departments in planning therapy services.
  • Directing the physical therapy service and taking authority, responsibility and accountability.
  • Determines the staffing needs of the physical therapy department to meet the needs of the residents.
  • Assists in the recruitment and selection of competent physical therapy personnel.
  • Provides guidance and training for new and/or less experienced personnel.
  • Assists the physician in evaluating the patient's level of function.
  • Performing patient tests, measurements, and evaluations - such as:
  1. range of motion and manual muscle tests,
  2. gait and function analysis,
  3. body parts measurements
  4. Evaluate findings to aid in establishing or revising specifics of treatment programs.
  5. Plans and administers prescribed physical therapy treatment programs for patients to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of body part.
  6. Performs and submits required documentation of patient evaluations, plans of care, clinical notes, and progress reports.
