Recruit Secure is collaborating with a large and growing medical group that is seeking a Physician (MD) to support patients residing in two Skilled Nursing Facilities located together) (same owner) in Williamsport, PA  for direct hire. This medical group's goal is to work hand in hand with the two facilities (around 300 beds in total) to improve the quality of care, increase patient satisfaction and reduce hospitalization rates. The selected Physician will be responsible for the ongoing and continuum quality routine patient care and rehabilitation of their patients. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary, full benefits plan, and perks.  Salary is dependent upon experience.

Some Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine check-ups/examinations on patients to assess their health condition and discover possible issues
• Diagnose, treat, and manage both acute and chronic conditions of patients with a broad range of illnesses
• Collects, records, and manages accurate patient information in EHR system
• Reviews items such as past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, examinations, medications, and allergies assessment to assess and revise the plans of care
• Prescribe and interpret lab and imaging tests to obtain more information about underlying infections or abnormalities
• Administer or prescribe treatments
• Assures patients are immunized from communicable diseases
• Give appropriate advice for healthy habits (diet, hygiene, etc.) and preventative actions to promote overall health

• Consult with appropriate medical specialists when necessary; refer patients to sub-specialists within the network
• Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients
• Remain up-to-speed with developments and best practices in medicine by attending conferences and seminars

Qualifications:

• Current Pennsylvania License as a Medical Doctor
• Geriatric Care specialty a plus but not mandatory
• National Board Certification
• EMR/EHR experience
