Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight to Admissions Directors and Coordinators across six skilled nursing facilities.
- Develop and implement regional admissions strategies to achieve occupancy, census, and payer mix goals.
- Oversee the admissions process, ensuring timely referrals, efficient admissions, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor census trends, referral activity, and admissions performance, implementing action plans to drive growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, discharge planners, managed care organizations, and other referral sources.
- Collaborate with Executive Directors and interdisciplinary leadership to support operational and financial objectives.
- Analyze market trends and identify opportunities to increase referrals and market share.
- Prepare regional admissions reports and monitor key performance indicators.
- Travel regularly between facilities to provide leadership, operational support, and coaching.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field required;
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive admissions, marketing, business development, or census development experience within skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute care.
- Minimum of three (3) years of multi-site or regional leadership experience
- Demonstrated success in increasing occupancy, improving payer mix, and leading high-performing admissions teams.
- Thorough knowledge of skilled nursing operations and the admissions process.
- Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and commercial insurance reimbursement.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, and community referral partners.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret census data, referral trends, and performance metrics to drive strategic decision-making.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR), admissions software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple facilities, prioritize competing demands, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation required, with the ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned region.
Salary: $160,000–$180,000 annually
