Overview:

Recruit Secure is collaborating with a beautiful and established Skilled Nursing Facility located in the Brooklyn, NY, area that is looking for an experienced and exceptional Director of Nursing (DON) to join their team. The Director will be responsible for maintaining quality of care throughout the entire facility (about 200 beds) and managing, training, and motivating the nursing staff. The ideal candidate for this position must have previous experience in a nursing leadership position, have excellent administrative skills, have a strong ability to work with and develop clinical teams, and have an in-depth knowledge of the rules and regulations governing the healthcare industry.  The focus of this position is to move this very good facility to a great one!

The facility and the DON are supported by a strong management team.  The staff has a long tenure and is very team-oriented and congenial.  There are opportunities for career growth within the company (the company owns multiple Skilled Nursing Homes).  A very strong and experienced ADON may be considered.  The company is open to candidates wishing to relocate to the NYC area.  A competitive salary, excellent benefits, and other perks are offered.

Requirements:

• BRN degree, preferred but not mandatory
• Active RN State license
• At least 3 years of experience working as a Director or Assistant Director of Nursing in a Skilled Nursing Home
• Experience in hiring, developing, and fostering collaborative teams
• Ensuring regulatory compliance
• Experience in preparing for DOH Surveys
• Participate and lead interdepartmental and QAPI meetings
• Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills
• Ability to develop, maintain, and revise patient care policies as needed
• Strong problem-resolution skills
