Recruit Secure is collaborating with a large (xxx+ beds) and highly rated Skilled Nursing Home in xxx Nx that is seeking an experienced, dynamic and caring ADON- Infection Control RN.  The Assistant Director of Nursing/Infection Control Nurse will be responsible for the day-to-day nursing activities and maintaining the quality of care throughout the entire facility.  Additionally, the ADON/ Infection Control RN will oversee the management, assessment and documentation of infections within the facility and ensure that all policies and surveillance programs are up to date and meet all Federal. State and Municipal regulatory compliance standards.

The successful candidate will have supervisory experience in Skilled Nursing Homes, in-depth knowledge and training in infection control protocols, and great communication skills to interact with physicians, families, and the nursing staff. The Infectious Control RN will also be expected to provide IC training to the nursing staff. Requirements:

  • BRN degree preferred but not mandatory
  • Current NY- RN License – a must
  • Certification - APIC – CIC OR CDC certification preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience (at least 2 -3 years) working in a  Supervisory role in a Skilled Nursing Home is a must
  • 1- 2 years of experience working with Infection Control policies, procedures, and reporting
  • In-depth understanding of Infectious protocols and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to plan, develop, direct, and coordinate educational and on-the-job training programs
  • Knowledgeable of State and Federal regulations and compliance guidelines
  • Experience developing and fostering collaborative teams
  • Develop, maintain, and revise patient care policies as needed
  • Strong problem-resolution skills
